Get into the Swing of It
Bay Springs Country Club
Bay Springs Country Club opened as a semi-private club in 1965. The 9-hole golf course was designed by engineer L.A. Conerly with assistance from charter members Arnold Hemphill, Talmon Eddleman, Elton Montgomery Robert H. "Bob" McFarland and Ted Adcock.
Our course offers tee areas for men, women and seniors age 60 and up. A new driving range is located north of the #1 fairway. The range ball dispenser is located behind the clubhouse on the patio. $5.00 buys a basket of 50 balls.
New Yamaha golf carts are also available for rental. Cart Rental fees and guest fees can be paid at "The Dive" located at the north end of the pool pavilion. This is only open from the middle of May through Labor Day. Anyone needing help during the off season may call 601-764-3403 or 601-670-6000 or George Rogers at 601-497-9095. These and more contact numbers are posted on the wall of the green block MGA building behind the clubhouse adjacent to #9/18 green. Cart Rental is $10.00 for 18 holes. Guest Fee is $20.00
In addition to the Bermuda fairways and greens, family members can also enjoy the double lighted tennis courts, swimming pool, and fishing ponds.
Each summer the country club hosts a Junior Golf Clinic with a certified professional instructor. A 2-week session of swimming lessons for children age 5 and up is also available. Mrs. Carol Evans is a certified Water Safety Instructor and has been teaching our children for 30 years.
A certified lifeguard is on duty at the pool 6 days a week from May thru August until schools are back in session.
A new pavilion has been built above the pool which houses "The Dive" a poolside snack bar and grill. Picnic tables are available here where families can enjoy the food or just relax out of the sun and watch either the pool or the tennis courts.
The pavilion and pool are available for receptions, parties, meetings and reunions.
In addition to the many events scheduled throughout the year, an annual Crawfish Tournament, a 3-person scramble, is held the first week end of May. Along with other entertainment, this crawfish party is always a hit featuring all you can eat crawfish, potatoes, corn and mushrooms. This tournament is very popular and fills up within 3 weeks of mailing out flyer/entry forms and information.
Bay Springs Country Club offers something for everyone and wants to make your experience memorable.
